OOC: Oh gursh, I finally get to roleplay with Rock! I've been so excited for a while now.
IC: It wasn't the first time that Rock had seen a traveling group of cats. He had been in one as a kit before he left, and had tried to join another one a few seasons before. By now, even half a forest away he could scent, hear, and just sense the new cats. They were a large group too, it seemed. Though his instincts told him to stay away, group of cats like that had only brought him pain so far, something deeper inside of him pulled him towards the group. It was his need to be praised, his need for other cats to look up to him that made his legs take him closer to the noise and smells, even though he knew he should be running in the other direction. For some reason, even though he had always been a lot better off on his own, the gray-eyed tom wanted to be part of a group. So he was going against the smarter part of him and doing it. After trekking his way through the pine forest he spotted a group of cats. It seemed not to be all of them, but it was enough to introduce himself to. With a proud grin and a confident stride, the loner stepped out of the undergrowth and revealed himself. "Hello cats," he greeted, "My name is Rock, and I have noticed your group. Though I have seen many groups like it in my days, yours seems better, and that is why Im asking to join it." His voice was confident, not a trace of concern or fear in his words. Though what he said wasn't exactly the truth, it had enough elements of the truth in it that he could pull it off without feeling bad about it. Looking at the group, there was one cat that seemed to be the leader that caught his eye. He knew that this brown tabby was the one he should be trying to impress.

Tall Pine tilted his head, his green eyes glinting as he looked down on this cat. This was his first test as leader. The tom was smaller than him, and something about him seemed... odd. His name, for instance, among other things. "I am Tall Pine, leader of this group." Tall Pine shook his glossy coat, narrowing his eyes. He couldn't show the tom anything just yet- it's best to just play it safe. "What talents do you offer us, stranger?" He stressed the last word, his tail flicking. Until Rock gained Tall Pine's trust, Tall Pine would address him as he thought of him- a stranger.

Rock decided not to point out that he had just said his name, so Tall Pine had no reason to call him stranger. But he was trying to make a good impression not a bad one, so he didn't mention it. He realized that this group seemed to be a lot like the last one so far, but he still didn't leave. Being a loner was just too lonely. "Hello, Tall Pine," the scrawny tom started, "Well for one thing, I have lived in this forest my whole life. You are definitely knew hear, so having someone who knows the area part of your team would be useful on your part. Also, I already know how to hunt, and fight, and use my brain, so those are all pluses."

Ice's Stone attention was caught by the arrival of a new cat with a strange scent. The blue point cat stood up and padded closer to the so called leader and the newcomer. The tom looked at him, interested by his words and his way of act. He was curious and even admired the confidence of the brown cat with gray eyes. Rock showed more skills of a leader than the actual leader of the Tribe: he was confident, outgoing, used to right words to talk and was intelligent. Ice's Stone definitely liked him. "Pretty impressive. You sure look like a capable cat." He said serious and smiling, cold blue eyes glancing at his gray gaze.

Tall Pine flicked his tail, nodding thoughtfully as Ice Stone stepped forward. She was a wise cat- if she saw this cat fit to join them, then he was inclined to trust the tom. But still- he had to get approval from the majority. One cat can't control everything- he needed to get more views. "Does anyone object?" He turned to the group. "Little Willow? Muddy Flame?"

Little Willow had watched with kind and curious eyes as the newcomer 'Rock' strolled into their clearing. He intrigued her with his kind of mysterious vibe, and odd name. He was also very brave to just come sauntering in the middle of their makeshift camp asking to join them. What if they had been hostile? He could easily be killed by her group, yet he stood in front of them, confident and calm. Rising to her paws, she padded to stand beside Tall Pine. "I think we should give him a chance. He seems to be knowledgeable of this land. I think we could use someone with that knowledge." She meowed honestly, eyes narrowed in interest as she looked him up and down.
Muddy Flame looked up from his shrew as a strange cat with the peculiar name ambled into the clearing. Sniffing disinterestedly, he continued eating his shrew until Tall Pine asked for his opinion. Sighing tiredly, he rose to his paws to stand in front of Rock. He took the tom in, trying to gauge his intentions, before shrugging. "I don't care. Let him join. He seems useful enough." He grunted, before turning to go finish his meal.

Tall Pine nodded. "If nobody else objects..." He turned to Rock, flicking his tail. "Welcome to the Tribe... Rock."

Rock stood nervously while Ice´s Stone talked, though his face showed only confidence and calmness. If this group was anything like the last, they would have started testing his strength and agility already, and probably have started fighting him. However, the last group was led by a tyrannical leader who was actually forcing cats to do stuff for him, so he was rather glad this group wasn't like that. When Tall Pine started talking, he was surprised by two things. First off, all these names were peculiar. Whatever happened to simpler names, like Mouse or Hawk? The other thing that surprised him was how the leader asked the other cats their opinion. This now seemed like a way better group than the last. Though Muddy Flame didn't interest him, Little Willow did. Not only did she approve of him, she also was the kind of cat the he felt that he had to please. When Tall Pine welcomed him, the dark tom felt a rush of relief. "Thank you, Tall Pine," Rock thanked graciously, "You seem like a good leader, not a tyrant at all. And I'm glad that the rest of the Tribe welcomes me to." The word tribe felt weird on his tongue, but he said it as if it was just as natural as everything else that he had said.
