Rock would never get used a group so big yet so peaceful. That wasnt to say that he didn´t like it, quite the opposite. He would rather be here than in a group that threw out kits because their father was a murderer, or part of a group with a tyrant for a leader that forcd cats to hunt for him or be killed. And being alone was just not the kind of life that he wanted to live. So being part of this group right then was the best thing that he was able to imagine. Sighing contentedly, he padded to the center of their makeshift camp and looked around for some cat to talk to. Most of them were out hunting, but he spotted a fluffy grat cat that he hadn´t met yet who was alone. He padded over to her, hoping to gain her trust and have a nice converstaion. "Hello. I´m Rock. Excuse me for asking, but how long have you been in this tribe?" he asked, trying to be friendly while still gathering information. He did his best not to come across as rude, just som cat who wanted to have a casual conversation.

Life in the Tribe was so different from what she dreamed. She still felt like a stranger to all those cats but Stream wasn't a cat that was too concerned about that. Actually, she didn't mind what others thought of her because of her collar. She was now a nomad and she was aiming to fight for her place in the Tribe.
The large fluffy cat was just laying around when from the corner of her eyes she was a brown tomcat approaching. At first, she thought that maybe he was going to walk away passing by her side without saying a word and she was surprised when it wasn't like that. The she-cat looked at him with narrowed and suspicious eyes as he talked, deciding what to do. Finally, she stood up, sitting, and offered him a more friendly expression. He was just trying to get some information, it seemed, and she didn't mind to answer him some of his questions. After all, Muddy Flame wasn't here and she was bored before he arrived. "Hello, Rock. You are new here, uh? I'm Stream and I'm not actually an old member of the Tribe but I have been here more time than you. Just a few moons before you arrived, when the Tribe was living in the Twolegplace. I joined them during that time by the invitation of Muddy Flame. Like you might see, I was what the other call a "kittypet" but I decide to change that. What about you? Why are you here?" She asked. Everyone here had their own reasons to join Tall Pine and his Tribe. Even if Stream was grateful toward him, she didn't saw in him a leader capable to afford such a huge group of cats and she always wondered why the other followed him without any hesitation.

Rock wasn´t at all unnerved by Stream´s first suspicious expression. He had talked his way out of worse feelings towards him. But still, he was relieved when she changed to a more welcoming position. That would be easier to handle. He lsitened with interest as she explained her story to him. So he was right with his assumtion that she was fairly new. Though he was a little skeptical of her when she asked his reasoning for joining before she explained hers. But it was pretty easy to tell why she left being a boring kittypet for this life. "Hello Stream. And why did I choose to join? It´s actually pretty simple," he started, settling down for a conversation. "I was a loner for a long time. I have joined one or two groups before, but not for very long. Though I had a good life by myself, I just got really lonely. So I jumped at the chance to join a pretty peaceful group of cats."

Stream listened to the tomcat, quietly and analyzing his answer so she could understand what kind of cat he was. He seemed to have noble intentions about being here. Actually, most of these cats just wanted a group to feel safe in a place where everybody cared for each other. But that was a utopia for the she-cat. This place... was just so ideal that it was hard to believe that it would long too much.
Maybe that's why she rolled her green-sea eyes, looking at the cats that were surrounding her. "It's peaceful... for now. I really doubt that this will last forever. This Tribe... is just too big and its leader... I don't think he is going to manage this group for so long without any problem." It was not like she disliked Tall Pine. After all, he let her stay without any complication. However, she doubted that those cats chose him as a leader. Actually, she was sure that he claimed the position for himself since he created the group and that wasn't so good. Stream believed that a leader must be followed because of his or her beliefs and ambitions. It was true that Tall Pine brought all of them here, but now that they were in the forest, what would happen? Was he going to stay as a leader? Maybe she shouldn't have said that last words to Rock, since he could easily call her a traitor because she wasn't on the side of the leader but the former kittypet never liked to hide her thoughts.

Rock would be lying if he said that he wasn´t suprised by the reply that Stream gave him. Everyone seemed so trusting in Tall Pine, as if they would follow him even if it meant their deaths. Of course, as amazing as the leader had been so far, he was still suspicious by nature. So when this random she-cat exprseed her doubts, he wasnt sure if he aggreed with her or not. Tall Pine did seem to constantly be asking advice and showing weakness, which wasn´t the best trait for a leader. And according to other cats, he was a self-appointed leader. That also caused his natural suspicion to raise. And her comment about peace had a point. He planned to climb the ranks as high as he could, so wht if someone way more willing to use whatever means neccasary thought so too? He didnt like how suspicious that this she-cat made him. "I see your point. As nice a leader as Tall Pine is, he shows weakness to easily. And I have joined enough groups to know that peace doesn´t last to long. For example, my father was a murder. His name was Slate, and he caused me to be thrown out of a once peaceful group," the former loner replied, looking thoughtful. He never felt sad when talking about his father. If he hadn´t been thrown out, he wouldn´t be here. The fact that he didn´t know if Slate was alive or dead didn´t bother him. It just taught him a lesson not to trust cats who seem peaceful.

"That sounds awful but I see that you're not so interested in him like other cats would. And honestly, is good to see a cat that has a little of common to agree about what I believe, Rock." She said smirking a bit. The large she-cat was looking at the tomcat with new interested eyes. He wasn't as naive as the cats that followed Tall Pine with blinded eyes. He knew his place and how the world surrounding worked. Those were qualities that were deserved the admiration of the fluffy silver she-cat because it was like she was. Actually, for Stream, she and Rock could even had a lot of common if they were going to be doing chats like this more often.

"Well, I can see that both of us are a bit more realistic than the rest of the cats here. But you know what? Threatened peace isn´t something we should worry about. At least not until it happens. And I guarentee you, we will most likely be the first ones to see it happen," Rock replied thoughtfully. As much as he did aggree with Stream about how easily peace could crumble, he also felt like talking about it tore him away from the paridise that he was living in. Even though everything they said was purely the truth, the former loner reflected, sometimes the truth hurt.

The she-cat looked at the Tribe after Rock talked back to her. Yeah... it still seemed peaceful and calm but the former kittypet couldn't get off of her mind the idea of the Tribe splitting apart because of the inner fights that would happen. Stream was sure that that was the future of the Tribe and she wasn't like Rock. She couldn't stop worrying about the future. However, the tomcat was right about some things. She should enjoy this fast calm atmosphere and she would make sure to be ready when the chaos begins. It was just a matter of time, she thought. "Yeah, we're going to be ready, at least, I will. I should relax for now and stop worrying about that..." She said, lying about the last part.
Her green eyes glanced the brown fur of his tribemate and she smiled at him, trying to be more friendly toward Rock. Despite her usual skepticism, the cat had gained her respect and she hoped that they could even be allies or friends. "And how is the Tribe life treating you? Have you met some nice cats over here or you're only interested in enjoying the life of the Tribe?"

Rock nodded at the first thing that Stream said. It was nice to hear that she agreed with him about that, as he had half expected her to argue. She was one of those cats that he partly really liked and respected, and another part of him knew that there were things that they didn´t really agree on at all. However, he had no idea what those things were yet. It was kind of like the situation with the tribe, and how it seemed so perfect. And how someday the peace would shatter, but they had no idea how that would happen yet. His mind was jerked back to reality when he was asked a question. Hiding the fact that he had been caught off guard, he replied. "Tribe life has been treating me really well, so far. And I have met a cat who seems to like me, and another cat that is my really good friend. And now you, of course," he replied. He just barely stumbled in his words when saying "my really", not really knowing what to call Little Willow in comparison to him. But it was only slight, and he hoped that she did not notice it. "How are you doing in the tribe?"

"Much better than my house in the Twolegplace. Despite the dangers of the forest, I think that I have been learning a lot since I've arrived. About other cats, I just met Tall Pine, you and the cat that brought me here, who is a really good friend to me. For now, this is a dream come true to me and I hope that I could live here, in the outsides forever." She meowed looking then to the sky. Yeah... this was, for now, the life she wanted for so long. But still... there was something missing... something that wasn't right about all this. She could sense it in her fur and it was always bothering her day and night. Maybe... she just wanted to be more than this. There was million thing that she hadn't done yet and the ambitious she-cat only dreamed to accomplish them all before she died. However, she felt like she was stuck in a place where she cannot move forward or beyond, so she decided to wait until the opportunity to change appeared.

"Yeah, I guess this place really is a paridise for both of us then. Something tells me that one of us is going to climb the ranks here someday," Rock replied cheerfully. It felt better to talk about optimistic stuff, even if it seemed a little forced, considering what they had just been talking about. The scent of prey filled his nose as the wind shifted, and he realized that he was hungry. Well, having a food source to rely on was fotunately part of life in the tribe. He stood up and stretched his legs. "I am going to go get some caught-prey. Want any?"

Climbing ranks... that was an idea that the she-cat didn't thought so much. She was an outsider, as well as Rock, but that didn't mean that she couldn't one day become more tan just another cat living in the Tribe.
Stream stood up after Rock's question, flicking her long and fluffy tail. "Sure. Whatever you find is okay." She said purring a bit.

As Rock padded over to pick out something to eat, he picked out a plump mouse for himself and a warbler for Stream. He personally didn´t care for birds at all, but the only thing more common than those in the pile where squirrels, which he disliked just as much. He preferred to stick to mice. He placed the bird at the she cat´s feet, then ate a mouthful of his mouse before speaking again. After cherishing the taste of prey in his mouth, he swallowed the morsel and made sure there was no food in his mouth before talking. "Here you go. I hope you like birds," he said, gesturing with his nose to the warbler at her paws.
