Rock listened to what Tall Pine, and looked at him quizically. Why should they turn away the cats at the harshest time? That would make it even harder for the group to survive. Memories flashed through his mind of a small kit trapped in a snowbank, starving and crying out for food, not to be found until days later, nearly dead. He shook those thoughts from his head. There was no way he condemn these cats to a simalar fate. He was about to interject when the leader adressed Rising Stream, so he stayed quiet to listen to what she had to say. He liked her thinking, just he knew that they couldn't keep these cats forever. Just until the end of the time of Frozen Waters, and then they could say good-bye. His goal to talk was once again interupted when the she-cat trailed off, and Dawn Streak's anger became apparent. He had no idea who her sister was, but it seemed stupid to him. Why base the fate of four cats because of some random sister? These cats were the problem, not any of the leader's mate's family issues. Deciding to try to steer the conversation away from that topic, he cleared his throat and spoke. "Tall Pine, I would just like to say that our border patrols would not have to change, and our hunting wouldn't have to double. There are only four of them, and if less than half of our tribe mates caught one extra piece of prey, we could feed them still. I also think that these cats should stay through the end of the Time of Frozen Waters, or else our help will be useless to them. And Rising Stream, I agree that they could be useful in those ways, and that it would be in both group's best interest for them to stay for a while. But they can't join forever, with the size of this tribe already, and more smallpaws will be coming." Rock looked to each cat as he adressed them. For some reason, it felt as if a missing piece of him had been found as he talked with these cats. Taking leadership had always been his ambition, but he had never expected it to happen. And now that he was so close to it, he felt better than ever. Finally, he turned to Dawn Streak. "And Dawn Streak, I bet your sister is a lovely she-cat, but what in the world does she have to do with this?"

"Your sister was a different case." Tall Pine mewed calmly. "She was born into the tribe, and was always in good health. Meanwhile, these cats had to be carried into camp." The tabby turned to the rest of the group, ready to come to a final decision at last. "Frankly, it's a little disquieting that you'd put the lives of cats who not only are unable to work, but are also unable to protect or help the group, above the tribe."
His green eyes glinted. This decision was difficult, and he felt guilt washing over him already. The large tabby slowly got to his feet, turning to address the entire tribe. "The newcommers will stay for a moon. Then, once they're healed and well fed, we'll send them off with food and traveling herbs towards Twolegplace where they can shelter with pitying Twolegs for the winter. A patrol of four cats will accompany them to Twolegplace and stay for three sunrises, making sure that they will find shelter." He scanned the group quickly, looking for his most competent cats. "Rising Stream, Oak Leaf, Misty Frost and Small Fire will escort them. Rising Stream will lead the patrol."
He wanted to keep Rock close to him, in camp. He was certainly ambitious and would make a fine Second, and leader, of the Tribe. Leading was something that came naturally to him. Tall Pine would have to talk to him about it later.
But for now... He could only hope that he'd made the right decision.

"I agree and if tall Pine takes them in i will leave the tribe and become a Rogue. Then all my prey won't be wasted on the sick and the needy and i can actually fill my stomach. I will not stay in a group already filled with kittypets and cats who can't hunt so all my prey goes to them. I suggest you do the same if he does that, i will let you into my already marked territory if I leave." Fallen Shadow said angrily gouging his claws deeper into the bark of the tree.

Rising Stream heard keeping silence and with respect to the brownish tomcat as he spoke with the skills of a leader that showed more ability to be one rather than Tall Pine. She agreed with almost everything he said but when he said that the four cats couldn't stay forever. The large she-cat didn't think the same way he did because she strongly believed that anyone that can work alongside his or her partners should earn a place in a community like the Tribe. But this belief didn't mean that she was a soft or too kind cat, at all. If one of the group couldn't do anything for the rest, then there was no reason to keep him or her with the others, since this cat would only struggle to the group. And, since the disabled cats hadn't proved what they can do, she couldn't judge them at all until that moment.
The silver tabby she-cat was about to talk again but the words of the leader stopped her from talking. By what she heard, she could barely suspect that the sister of the other she-cat was tribe-born like her and that she died because of a disability similar to the ones that these strange cats had. She blinked when the brown tabby tomcat looked at the three of them and as more as he spoke, the more the anger and frustration of the she-cat grew inside of her chest. How can he said that they couldn't help when she just give him duties that they could once they recovered? And even if those activities weren't enough, it was cruel to leave them just when the Time of the Frozen Water was about to come. However, she didn't say a thing or make a move after he stopped his announcement. After a nod of understanding, Rising Stream stood up and walked away, letting a growl escape from her throat when she was far enough of the leader. "This is just nonsense..." She mumbled to herself. "How can be so unreasonable to not hear what I and Rock said? He asked for our opinion but he instead chose to not listen at all and just took his own decision. It's ridiculous..."
After those words, the Sharpclaw reached the side of the grumpy Frozen Pool, greeting him with a more kind smile that tried to hide her anger. "Thank you, Frozen Pool. I know that you might be angry at me because I was the one that put these cats under your care without asking your permission and I'm sorry. But I just want you to know that I just did that because I really value your knowledge about medicinal herbs and medicine. I hope you can forgive me and trust me, I will help in whatever you need me as an apology for my acts." -----------
Oak Leaf shook his head with a relaxed smile when the other cat said that he should become a rogue if these cats were allowed in the Tribe. "Thank for your offering, Fallen Shadow, and don't doubt that I wouldn't follow you but my heart belongs here because here is the she-cat of my dreams and I can't just leave her." He said, thinking about Ember's Light and her yellowish eyes.
However, the decision of the leader would probably change the plans of the Sharpclaw. Now that the cats weren't going to join the Tribe there was no trouble about staying. "Well, I guess that now we don't have to worry about those disabled cats eating our food." He said before stepping forward to nod to the leader with a serious expression. "I will do as you say, Tall Pine. Thank you for your trust in me." His green eyes looked at the leader as he smiled a bit, proud that he had been chosen to do a mission that the leader made. -----------

Silent Hail huffed at the newcomers. The handsome tom thought they were useless but he wanted to give them a chance. He had just came back from helping Echo Wish find some more herbs for Frozen Pool. He quickly placed down the two bundles he was carrying and listened to what Tall Pine was saying. ------------- Oak Dusk chuckled at the sight before him. Weak newcomers wanted to join them. The experienced tom shook his head but decided not to word any of his opinions. At least they were heading away from here to be pitied by some twolegs. -------------- Marsh Breeze stayed as silent as he could in the whole ordeal but saying his opinions under his breath. He looked over at Misty Frost and Echo Wish. Misty Frost was to escort the weak newcomers somewhere they could keep themselves alive. He scoffed but headed to talk to Echo Wish, the younger healer-to-be.

There was so much that he wanted to say. How he knew what it was like to be like this cats. Maybe he wasn't disabled, but he had been like them. Weak, starving, barely alive. He would be dead if a kittypet hadn't taken mercy. And then we he had joined a group, being chased out and nearly killed because he was apparently weak. Rock wanted to say how these cats could be part of the tribe, and so his statement to play with their guilt wasn't working. It hit him how much like his former leader Tall Pine was, and how he had taken so long to realize that. Rising Stream had been right. Peace and great leadership was just a mirage. His bubbling anger didn't show at all on his seemingly calm body as the leader announced what they would do. He knew that this was not right. Yet even though he had tried, he couldn't stop it. He nodded to his leader, and for the first time in a long while had no idea what to say. Everything suddenly seemed fake. He had no idea who to trust, and who had hidden side he hadn't seen yet. His body tensed, as if ready to fight. His mind couldn't relax, think of all the possibilities. He had seen similar things happen in the last group, and he prayed that this wouldn't end the same way. He would have to come up with a plan before peace shattered. And maybe for once, he could save more than just himself. But for right now, he needed to relax. Looking around, he tried to spot Little Willow. She always calmed his nerves. Trying to view the tribe the way he had done that morning, he walked over to her. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frozen Pool lifted his head from the small pile of herbs he had been looking through when Rising Stream approached him. Though the last thing he was looking for was a sappy apology, it was kind of sweet. "Well you should be. At least give me a bit of warning before you dump of pile of dying cats at my paws," he replied, seeming annoyed. "But really, there is no reason to waste your time getting sad about saving some cat's lives. And at least you recognize my talent." After saying that, he stared at Silent Hail as he placed the herbs at his feet. The tom obviously was paying more attention to Tall Pine then the healer. Sighing, he looked at the herbs, glad to see more nettles and other important plants.

Dawn Streak stared incredulously at Tall Pine as those words spewed from his mouth. Did he not hear what Rising Stream and Rock said? Did he not remember the permanent limp in her sister's limb? Her fur bristled further when he made the patrol without hearing her out at all. "I am ashamed of you." Dawn Streak spat at Tall Pine. "You know these cats will die if we send them away, yet you throw them out anyways." Her eyes narrowed. "And don't you dare ignore my sister's worth. She had a disability Tall Pine, just like these cats, but she was worth more than you clearly can understand." She turned away from him, refusing to look at him anymore. "You can eat alone tonight. I don't want to see you right now."

Echo Wish's eyes softened at Dawn Streak. He felt the same way as Dawn Streak did about the newcomers. The young tom walked up her and nudged her. "Don't worry Dawn Streak. Tall Pine will come through eventually. For now, he needs some time to think about everything. These kind of things stress him out." He said with a soft smile. "I'll be heading on another scavenge for herbs. Silent Hail will come along with me. You may come with me if you wish." With that last statement, Echo Wish headed away from the camp. He signaled to the other tom to come along. Once he saw that Silent Hail was following, he headed on his way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Misty Frost felt a little saddened as Tall Pine didn't want the injured newcomers here. She felt that they should be welcomed here and not turned away but the majority of the camp ahreed with the leader's view. Her different colored eyes were downcast and her ears pressed against her head as Tall Pine wanted her to be one of the escorts. She didn't want to lead the poor cats away from here but she didn't want to be seen as disobedient. She looked over at Small Fire with a smile. She had liked the tom for a while. She headed over to him for a chat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ember's Light was sitting alone at one side of the camp. She was deep in thought. She had been thinking about that day and about Oak Leaf. She loved him dearly and hoped he loved her back. She lied down and began to groom herself as she listened to the fussing between those who welcomed the newcomers and those who'd like to send them away. She wanted them to stay as she didn't see any harm in them staying.

Tall Pine bit back a hiss as Echo Wish approached Dawn Streak, feeling a wave of jealousy wash over him. He frowned and took a step towards Dawn Streak, his ears flat. He'd never argued with his mate before. If turning the injured cats away made his feel guilty, his fur was crawling now. Still, he was sure that they'd survive. Twolegs were kind to those who were pitiful to accept their help, and the patrol of cats were some of his most capable warriors.
And yet... He shot Dawn Streak a hurt look and padded towards the nursery, laying down in the entrance and watching the camp unhappily.

OOC: Nvm, re-read it now i understand.
Fallen Shadow nodded to Oak Leaf. "Well I am glad Tall Pine made the right choice, I need to get outside and think." Fallen Shadow said to Oak Leaf padding out of camp. Fallen Shadow inhaled deeply while walking along remembering his enthusiasm about the pine forest they found and how it was paradise. He let out a small laugh at the memory of crashing into a pine tree trying to climb it. Fallen Shadow looked around and gracefully leapt into a pine tree climbing up to the top of it and seeing the whole world from up there, it was incredible. He could see the twolegplace that Rising Stream came from which made him slightly angry but he brushed it off, he could see a massive lake which at the edge he could see a rocky gorge, looking around some more he saw a marsh with streams and wild grassy plains.
