Before you read this, please read the hunting system and read this if you don't understand what to do.
Step 1:
Choose what animal that you want to hunt. Pretty self-explanatory, probably didn't even have to include it in here, but just wanted to emphasize that you have to choose, you don't roll the dice to see what animal you have to catch. Also, remember that the tribe you are in affects what your character would want to catch. For example, if you are in the Tribe of the Rising Streams, you would probably want to catch a fish, as that is their main food source. In your post, include your cat deciding what to catch. Also write what they do up until they either catch it or miss it.
Step 2:
After you choose what kind of prey you want to hunt, you have to roll the dice to see if your cat can catch it or not.
To roll the die/dice, you have to click "reply" (on top right of the reply box) instead of "post quick reply" (on the bottom left reply box). Once there, you see a bar of options on the top. Most of these are things like bold, center, insert link, etc. The box of the far right has a picture of a die on it, and if you click that it says "roll" with [ and this ] on either side.. Then you create the post, and it has a number in a square. That is your roll.
Die roller:
Step 3:
Depending on what you role, you may or may not catch the animal that you were trying to catch. The roll you need to catch each animal for each tribe can be found here. After you learn if you caught the prey or not, you have to go back and edit your post to have your cat catch or miss the animal. To edit your post, you click the button that says "edit" which is one of the options on the top right side of your post. Edit you post so people can clearly tell that you're cat either caught it or failed to do so.
Example:
Squirrelly creates a post where her character, Rock, goes hunting.
"Rock walked through a few scraggly gorse bushes, hoping to find something to eat. He hadn't gotten something to eat in a while, he was to busy trying to hunt for other cats to hunt for himself. But at the moment, Rock was really craving a nice lizard. He quickly scented the air for the smell of one, and followed it to an area between a few rock that still held collected rain water. A nice plump lizard was basking on the side of it, practically begging for him to go ahead and catch it. The sleek cat slide into a hunter's crouch, ready to catch his next meal. he was downwind of the creature, so hopefully it wouldn't notice him until it was too late for it to do anything. He slowly padded towards it, each step silent, until he was close enough to make his catch."
After Squirrely writes that, she rolls the die to see if Rock caught the lizard. She rolled a 6. Because Rock is in the Tribe of Hidden Rocks, he was able to catch it, because any number 1-7 would let that happen. After she sees what she rolled, Squirrelly edits her post to show that he caught it. The post now says this:

The hit stunned it for a few seconds, and in those moments Rock pinned it to the ground and bit the back of its neck, killing it. The tom proudly picked up the caught-prey and started carrying it somewhere where he could enjoy eating it."
